VOICES: City College students’ streaming interests cover wide range of content

Students share what they would discuss if they were streamers

Streaming is an interesting source of information, gaming, multimedia and community on the internet.

It gives the viewer the ability to watch real-time interactive entertainment. It has also become the way many get their daily news.

Being a streamer gives producers the ability to develop technology skills, strengthen their public speaking abilities and gain exposure while controlling their own time and how much they can earn.

If Adrian Mendoza, a kinesiology student at San Diego City College, were a streamer, his busy days would have him considering a topic relevant in his own life.

“How to handle your time,” the 18-year-old said. “I know at San Diego City College everything revolves around your time and how you spend it, because like me, I have three classes a day. I’m a part of two clubs, Advisory and M.E.Ch.A. I have meetings all the time, so I’m always rushing around.”
