The San Diego City College Dramatic Arts Department will be opening their spring play “Into the Woods” at the Saville Theatre on Friday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m.
The show will continue through Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m.
“(Theatre) makes you feel, I mean, my hope for this is yes, in the surface, it’s a bunch of different mashed up fairy tales, but it’s also very much about, like I said, finding your community (and) facing your fears,” Katie Rodda, director and co-chair of visual and performing arts, said.
If you are not available for these dates, the show will run for a second weekend on May 1-3.
Tickets will be $15 for students and $20 for the general public. Free parking will be available at Lot 8 for the show.

6th Annual Chicano/a/x Student Art Exhibit
The Chicanx Studies Department will be hosting their Culture, Power, and Resistance Art exhibit on Thursday, May 7, at the City College Library from 6-8:30 p.m.
The deadline to submit any art into the exhibit is April 28 using the QR code below.
Rising Scholars Student Panel
Join co-facillitator Marc Grabiel in exploring the theme of “Serving Incarcerated Students,” where they will delve into articles and book chapters related to educational programs in carceral facilities and to justice for impacted students.
The SDCCD Journal Club will meet for their first ever student panel with student speakers from Rising Scholars from all four community colleges within the district.
This event will be taking place on Thursday, April 30, from 1-2 p.m. with Flex and Zoom codes available on the flyer.
