San Diego City College will be hosting Hunger Action Day every week in February. Starting March the event will return to its regular schedule, every first Tuesday and second Monday of the month.
This week Serrano took home fresh produce such as apples, onions and oranges. She also got canned goods, bread and rice.
Utilizing the onions, canned beans, bread and rice from Hunger Action Day, plus a few additional ingredients from her pantry, Serrano made veggie sliders to kick off the first #citycookingchallenge of the semester.
