In this week’s #CityCookingChallenge, host Susana Serrano makes Sopa de Coditos, a classic Mexican soup made of macaroni pasta swimming in a savory tomato sauce.
She tops it off with pre-cooked chicken.
This soup is a Mexican childhood favorite known by different names, depending on the shape of the pasta used. Coditos translates to little elbows but there are a lot of fun shapes such as stars, shells and letters.
For Serrano,Sopa de Coditos is a comforting and easy-to-make dish. Her mom would always make it on cold days or whenever she was feeling sick.
