Community Coffee & Conversations Oct. 3

Join Assemblymember Tasha Boerner for free coffee and discuss issues that impact our community.  

Coffee and Conversations will be held here on City Campus in room MS 140 on Oct. 3, 11 a.m. – noon.  

Tasha Boerner represents District 77.  The California State Assembly is a government group that is involved with community legislation decisions, such as housing development, coastal resources and public utilities.

Knights’ soccer returns to City 

City College women’s soccer team (3-4) will match up against Southwestern College at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, located at Knights Soccer Field on 1480 Park Blvd.

They will also face off against Grossmont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 7. 

 

 Filipino History Month Oct. 6

October is Filipino History Month; kick it off right with some morning coffee and delicious pandesal.  

Pandesal is a traditional Filipino pastry roll, often enjoyed as a breakfast staple. Students are encouraged to enjoy pandesal share in with the local Filipino community, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

 

T.A.C.O Career Opportunity Webinar Oct. 7

Attention nursing community, Tuesday is T.A.C.O. Tuesday (Talk About Career Opportunities). Join an interactive webinar on Oct. 7 to participate in this insightful opportunity to discuss career possibilities within the nursing field.  

 

Gain an inside perspective of the opportunities offered in the nursing field.  Subjects include tips to prepare for nursing school, pathways to becoming a nurse and programs available through the UC system. The webinar will also provide Q&A from nursing professionals and current students.
