Marco Guajardo is currently exploring the field of digital journalism.

Guajardo feels that taking classes at City College in this field will enable him to explore the area of digital journalism further while also getting hands-on experience to aid his exploration.

Guajardo prefers the digital side of media as he feels it’s easiest to spread the news via the internet rather than via print.

Marco loves cooking his own meals, taking care of his health by working out at least once a day and backpacking whenever he has the time to do so.

From what Ive heard and what I think I know is Palestine is attacking Israel. But Ive also heard that its not just one sided. That Israel has also invaded and took land from Palestine before this whole war broke out, and Palestine started getting blamed and they were viewed as the evil people in this whole conflict, when in reality Palestine has been suffering for much longer and that its not just one-sided. I hope for world peace. I think its a lot of unnecessary bloodshed between the two, especially because … when war happens, its between two governments and people shouldnt really be included.” – Montserrat Lopez, veterinary technician, 1st semester

America, they get way too involved in wars, and I feel like they should focus on themselves more to improve their own country … I think the population of America is too privileged. I just know that Israel... (invaded) Palestinian land and is colonizing it ... I understand that Palestine, they were fighting back to reclaim that and then Israel struck back and its bombing Palestine constantly. I dont know if there is a resolution to it just because I know how the US, they get involved with a lot of stuff, and I know theyre funding Israel. I just feel like theres probably going to be a continuous war … We dont even have peace in America. So I dont think there is a resolution.” – Alexia Flores, sociology

Mass murder is happening ... the Israelis are mass murdering the Palestinians. And it sucks, because they have been complaining over an event that happened seventy years ago where they got mass murdered, and now theyre mass murdering another group and theyre oppressing it and theyre acting like its okay. So it sucks. But at the same time imagine all your life (as an Israeli) youve been promised this land, you get there and its like, oh, no, its not it for you anymore. I can kind of understand how they feel, but at the same time its never gonna be okay to cause mass murder. Ive heard a lot of people on the Israeli side who have been saying that the Palestinians started it, I dont know, whats the situation there. And if thats the case, well, I can see how theyre angry because of it, but still doesnt justify mass murder.” – Logan Mendoza, 18, 1st semester
