Susana Serrano, Multimedia Editor, City Times – Spring 2024
Award-winning multimedia journalist Susana Serrano previously served as the Managing Editor and Social Media Editor at City Times Media and Executive Producer of Newscene/CTTV.
Host of the City Cooking Challenge, a digital show that teaches viewers about food resources on campus and how to use those resources to make healthy meals, Serrano is passionate about fighting the stigma around food insecurity through her work.
Serrano was recently elected student president of the Journalism Association of Community Colleges, after serving as Southern California student representative.
When she is not pursuing a story or perfecting a recipe, Serrano likes spending time with her family and her three dogs.
Serrano is pursuing an associate’s degree in journalism at San Diego City College. She plans to transfer to a four-year university upon graduation.
